Serenity, Simplicity and Clear Mountain Air: The Story of Tamar&Netanel For thousands of years, Jerusalem has been gathering people, places and times. Tamar&Netanel, two musicians who grew up in the Holy City, have also met there for the first time. Since then, for five years now, they create music as husband and wife. The simple melodies, alongside stories about life, love and nature, are wrapped with Jerusalem mountains atmosphere. ​ The music of Tamar&Netanel is all about emotion. Since 2013, the Jerusalem Mountain Folk Duo contributes its special touch with songs from and to the heart. Tamar (vocals, violin, guitar) and Netanel (vocals, guitar, whistle) grew up in Jerusalem, but met through music, in Tamar's solo concert. Each of them came from different direction (She studied at the Academy, he played songs alone in his room), but this, together with their stunning vocal harmonies, is exactly what caught the heart of thousands of people, their fans in Israel and abroad. ​ They released two albums independently. Their debut album, Peace of Mind (includes 10 songs, 9 in English and one in Hebrew) integrates between the simplicity of classic American folk music in a contemporary interaction, and Tamar and Netanel's Jewish roots. Their second album "Pure As Gold", recorded at their home, focuses on their personal life together, describes their experience as musicians and as parents, and tells little stories from nature. ​ Tamar and Netanel have performed in the finest festivals all across Israel (Ya'arot menash, Jacob's Ladder, Jerusalem Artist Colony Fest), and also in New York And Boston.
